I found the PERFECT pizza dough recipe. I have been experimenting with making homemade pizza for the past few months and have been semi-disappointed with every dough recipe I've used. This isn't to say they were bad, but they left a little something to be desired.
I like thick crust pizza, not thin, and that has been a biggest challenge to making homemade pizza. This crust was perfect: slightly hard on the outside, soft and doughy on the inside! The only alterations I made to the dough recipe was adding a few fresh cloves of garlic, dried oregano and basil, and freshly grated parmesan cheese. Definitely add about 1 cup parmesan cheese, 4 medium sizes of garlic, and 1/2 tbsp of each of those dried spices for the most oomph!
I added a basic marinara sauce as the base, veggies (green bell pepper, mushrooms, and roma tomatoes), mozzarella and parmesan cheese, garlic, and pepper!
Mmm...garlic and cheese
Dough is ready!
Look at that thick crust!!
Everyone, please do yourself a favor and make this pizza! It is the best homemade pizza I have had as of yet and I will be making it many more times!
I hope you all have a nice rest of the holiday weekend! :)
